Once upon a time...

Beasts of the Southern Wild

Once there was a Hushpuppy...

The most dazzling form of magical realism. The best truthful story which I have ever seen. The most incredible narration! Hushpuppy was being acted by Quvenzhané Wallis (she was only 5 or 6!). She has only father, because her mother has abandoned her. The daddy brings up her, but... he has the one and only aim: his daughter must survive.
- Who is the man!? (daddy)

- I am the man! (Hushpuppy)
The charming, moving story about love which is inseparable part of each family. Love can be difficult to understand, it can be... you know... it can be expressed in different ways. But it is always the clearest feeling. And even though we will lose it for sure (because of death, war or disagreement), the time, when we keep it is the best reason to keep ourselves alive.

Once there was a Hushpuppy...
And she just said: The whole universe depends on everything fitting together just right. If one piece busts, even the smallest piece... the entire universe will get busted.
She expressed the whole truth about our world and our lives in two sentences. Such an unbelievable irony!
When I watch this movie... I just cry and smile in turns.
The young, strong girl realises all of the fears which enclose her and she faces up to them. She treats her youth as an adventure. But she does not forget about real world. She invides us to enjoy the silence and the biggest noice as well. She shows us how we can keep in touch with nature.
Ox appears in my life every day. The glaciers melt. And despite it I find a lot of happiness in every moment and each place.

Nominated in 4 categories: Best Motion Picture, Best Directing, Best Original Screenplay and the last but not least - Best Actress in Leading Role (and the youngest in history!). This movie did not receive even one Academy Award.

But my view is that this is the real scandal this movie was not nominated in categorie called: the best original music!
